But the air on the other hand does not have a fan anymore, just an aluminum heat spreader. That limits it to run heavy workloads for extended periods of time. but this only applies to people who constantly render extremely complex designs and edit 4K footage very often, otherwise, it is still a very strong device for the majority of people.

overall, the MacBook Air is an amazing device and works well for many people. pro users will most likely still have to stick to the MacBook Pro but the air is outstanding compared to many laptops released at that time with a similar price point.
