For the third and final part of this three-part series recap of the apple event, we will be looking at the new apple watch series 7.
It has Thinner display borders which is great because Apple hasn't changed the Apple Watch's display borders in several years. But now, the Apple Watch 7's display is up to 20% bigger than the Apple Watch 6's. With a thin 1.7mm bezel, the Apple Watch looks larger year, even though the chassis/body size hasn't changed.
Top new features
Brighter screen: The Apple Watch 7's display is 70% brighter than before.
Faster charging: Although the Apple Watch 7 has the same "all-day" battery life, it charges faster. the Series 7 charges 33% faster because of the new USB-C cord.
The Apple Watch 7 introduces watchOS with several software upgrades. watchOS 8 brings support for multiple timers, digital keys, a new Mindfulness app and tracking for Tai Chi and Pilates workout types.
One feature specifically to the Apple Watch 7, Taking advantage of the expanded screen, the Series 7 gets a full keyboard for typing out messages.
The Apple Watch 7 has the same 18-hour battery life as the Apple Watch Series 6 and Series 5 before it.
There are also new colors for the aluminum case: blue, green, midnight (black), starlight (a gold-silver blend), and product red. You can add still more expensive upgrades to steel and titanium-cased versions, too.
The Watch 7 has an IP6X rating, which is new and promises better dust-resistance. The curved crystal is also 50% thicker, according to Apple, which could lead to less cracking.
The watch has the same 50-meter water resistance for freshwater, pool, or ocean swimming as recent previous models.
However, it can be charged to full up to 33% faster before with the new USB-C cord that comes in the box.
this has been a decent upgrade for the apple watch line even though it still has room for improvement to surpass its flagship smart watches
